Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Telecom Patrol in Suffolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct regular patrols, interact with visitors and employees, and provide outstanding customer service. You will represent Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and innovation, while contributing to a welcoming environment through teamwork, communication, and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the security-related needs of the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor and report any unusual activity, hazards, or property damage within the location.
Collaborate with Allied Universal and client representatives to address security-related concerns specific to a tech, media, or telecom environment.
Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain an orderly flow of personnel and/or visitors.
Document and communicate incidents, observations, and daily activities according to site protocols.
