Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Tech Campus Patrol in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a dynamic tech environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your presence and strong communication skills will support a welcoming and secure atmosphere for all. Requirements

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using site guidelines and Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual circumstances.
Monitor access points and observe for any suspicious behavior or unauthorized individuals within the location.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, or maintenance needs according to established site procedures.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address questions or concerns regarding security-related matters.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency response teams when required, following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
