About The Position

As a Airport Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Requirements
- Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
- 21+ years of age
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
- Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
- Have at least 1+ years of Security Experience.
- Be 21+ years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, post orders, and site-specific policies, and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to airport operations and/or public agencies as required.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, gate areas, curbside zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
- Monitor access points and controlled areas by verifying credentials and/or authorizations, directing foot traffic, and documenting access activity per site policy.
- Complete detailed written reports and logs, including incident reports, shift activity reports, and patrol findings, and communicate updates to supervisors and/or site contacts.
