As a Airport Security Professional - Curbside Patrol in Lihue, HI , you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government airport location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, parking areas, perimeter zones, and other assigned areas, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas in accordance with post orders, verifying credentials and/or permits when required, and directing individuals to the appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, and/or alarms, and notify airport operations and/or emergency services as directed.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate observations and/or hazards to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
