About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed State Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and the public, providing assistance and information as needed.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents and promote a secure environment.
- Complete required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner as specified by Allied Universal and client site requirements.
