As a Security Officer - Patrol Unarmed State Facility in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence to those on site. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following all Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and maintain a visible presence.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials as required by the location's policies.
Support emergency response efforts by following established procedures and communicating with Allied Universal and onsite personnel.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by the site.
Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and/or contractors, providing assistance and directions as needed.
