Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at a technology and communications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential hazards.
Control access to the property by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or access credentials, and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors according to site procedures.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, and report irregular activity to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Complete routine reports, activity logs, and incident documentation in a timely manner using required tools and formats.
Provide assistance during emergencies such as medical situations, fire alarms, and building evacuations, following site procedures and post orders.
Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and local responders, providing directions and de-escalation support when needed.
Perform building checks such as doors, docks, stairwells, and restricted areas, and report maintenance concerns that could impact operations.
Support loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and property damage.
