About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover in West Valley City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related issues. You will support staff, visitors, and patients with courteous customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. With an agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will use integrity and teamwork to help maintain an orderly, welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Security Experience ‐ 1+ Years is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid - preferred.
  • Guard Card/License - preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients in a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor direction and/or wayfinding, and help maintain orderly movement through the facility in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate security-related observations to site stakeholders, and support Allied Universal requirements for documentation and shift turnover.
