As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control by checking badges and visitor activity. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and provide customer service with professionalism. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials and/or shipments as directed, and documenting visitor, vendor, and driver activity according to site procedures.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, monitor alarms and/or cameras when assigned, and report maintenance, hazards, and/or unusual conditions through proper channels.
