As an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control while assisting employees and visitors with professionalism. You will document observations using a computer and/or tablet and communicate clearly. At Allied Universal, you will join a caring team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor check-in, contractor verification, and delivery and/or shipping receiving traffic as directed by post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and assisting with site evacuation and/or shelter procedures when directed.
• Complete routine patrol logs and incident reports, and communicate observations and/or hazards to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
