As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to residents and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including building exteriors, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points as assigned.
  • Monitor access points and amenities to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or misuse, verify identification or authorization when required, and document access activity per post orders.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and maintenance or hazard observations, and communicate notable activity to the appropriate contacts using radio and/or phone.
