About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rounds Driver in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at a leading tech and data center location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, support access control checkpoints, and provide clear customer service and communication for employees and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid in-state driver’s license. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site employees, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and reporting to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, equipment corridors, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas by observing alarms, cameras, and/or entry activity, and escalate irregular conditions according to post orders.
• Complete daily logs and shift reports, communicate key observations during shift transitions, and support site operations with customer-focused assistance as needed.
