Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service. You will support staff and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication while documenting activity using a computer and/or tablet. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by a caring team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing individuals to the appropriate location in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete detailed shift activity logs and incident reports, document policy deviations, and communicate observations and handoff information to oncoming personnel and site contacts.
