As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location supporting public services and environmental operations, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to concerns with strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns and escalating per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access points by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or credentials when required, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, monitor cameras and/or alarm systems as assigned, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
