As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will document activities, communicate clearly with tenants and onsite teams, and deliver customer service grounded in integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • CPR certification preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards, damage, or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and property activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with directing visitors, deliveries, and contractor traffic according to site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, documenting actions taken, and requesting assistance from site leadership and/or public services when needed.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and activity reports, and communicate pertinent information to oncoming personnel and property management contacts.
