About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Driver in BROOKLYN, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a company or site vehicle to conduct mobile patrols, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations. You will bring clear communication, strong customer service, and teamwork grounded in integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance and communicating updates to appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that need attention.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, completing required identification checks, visitor processing, and/or package screening in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports on shift activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
