About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrols in Tulsa, OK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support smooth daily operations. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, assist employees and visitors with directions and communication, and document security-related events. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site representatives and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Control access through gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and visitor authorizations, issuing badges as directed, and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and observations; maintain logs and communicate significant information to Allied Universal supervision and/or site management.
