About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Petaluma, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication. You will complete routine rounds, support access control expectations, and deliver customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct routine and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, access, and/or operational concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in, and coordinate escorts for authorized guests, vendors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency services when required.
  • Complete detailed documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate notable observations to on-site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
