As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will monitor platforms, facilities, and surrounding areas through routine patrols and high-visibility presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and support riders and staff with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, identify security-related concerns, and communicate directions and/or information to the public in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd management, reporting hazards, and coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity using required reports and/or electronic systems, and promptly notify supervision of any unusual conditions.
