About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Woodstock, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe production and warehouse activity, document unusual conditions, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Requirements

Possessing a Guard Card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, loading docks, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and identify irregular conditions.
Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and delivery drivers; manage visitor check-in, directions, and call-ups per site requirements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and facility process interruptions; notify onsite leadership and public responders as needed.
Complete detailed shift logs and incident reports, document gate activity and key events, and communicate hazards, maintenance issues, and policy concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
