About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Palmetto, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow, document activities, and communicate clearly with team members and site leaders. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter gates to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues.
• Monitor access points and support visitor and/or driver processing by verifying identification, issuing directions, and documenting entries and exits according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and/or assistance as required by post orders.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and assist with monitoring cameras, alarms, and other site systems when assigned.
