Security Officer - Full Time
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Columbus, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and assist with access control and incident response as needed. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures and access requirements at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, gates, and delivery areas, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor and contractor logs per site policy.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs with clear, accurate documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
