Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government court location, where you will monitor entrances and public areas, conduct routine foot patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a professional, visible presence. You will assist visitors with directions and questions, communicate clearly with staff and first responders, and document observations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors and staff at a government court location by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of court facilities, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry points for authorized access, screen visitors per post orders, and direct the public to appropriate areas while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.
  • Communicate with court personnel and/or emergency services as needed, relay accurate information by radio and/or phone, and assist with crowd management during high-traffic periods.
