You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and report observations with clear, professional communication. You will also assist drivers, visitors, and employees with customer-focused service. Requirements
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the warehouse, yard, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access control points such as gates, dock doors, and employee entrances by verifying authorization, directing traffic flow, and documenting arrivals and departures per site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, alarms, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activities, patrol findings, and incident responses, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff to support continuity of security-related operations.
