Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Robert, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, report concerns, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors while delivering customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of operational areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.
- Control access through designated points by verifying identification, managing visitor entries, and directing deliveries and contractors according to site requirements.
- Complete routine reports and shift logs, communicate notable conditions to site contacts, and support drills and/or alarms as directed.
