About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Tucson, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, document unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter points; document observations and report unusual activity.
  • Control access at gates, doors, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization, maintaining visitor logs, and directing traffic to approved areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact site points of contact and/or emergency services as needed, and complete clear incident reports.
  • Monitor cameras, radios, and other security-related systems for suspicious activity and/or policy violations; communicate updates to supervisors and site personnel.
