As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication, while using technology to document activities. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, documenting activity, and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or access control issues.
• Monitor entrances and access points during rounds, assist with visitor guidance and/or directions, and help manage access according to site policies.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, and notify supervision of hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
