As a Part-Time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Unit in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols at a premier commercial real estate location, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support tenants and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor and contractor activity in accordance with site policies, helping to support orderly operations at the location.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to the appropriate contacts, helping to deter unauthorized activity and support daily property operations.
