Requirements
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within an educational setting.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, galleries, public areas, offices, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff activity, and report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Support a welcoming environment for students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by offering directions, answering questions, and assisting with security-related requests as needed.
