Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Roving
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Roving in Sherman Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support tenants and visitors with clear communication, timely reporting, and customer service. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, parking areas, stairwells, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
- Monitor building activity and access points, assist with visitor management as directed, and communicate concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and supporting emergency response activities as required by site procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in required reports and/or electronic systems, and promptly report maintenance issues, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
