About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rover in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, loading and parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and/or deliveries while maintaining accurate entry and exit documentation in accordance with site requirements.
  • Document and report observations, policy violations, maintenance issues, and/or unusual conditions using written logs and digital reporting tools, and communicate updates to Allied Universal and site contacts.
