About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Hanahan, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and/or telecom location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist with badges and visitor check-in, and communicate clearly with onsite teams while documenting activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements
- Security-related experience of 1+ years is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, labs, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor and/or operate security-related systems such as access control points, alarms, and CCTV where applicable, and document unusual activity per post orders.
- Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed.
- Complete routine reports and detailed incident documentation, including patrol logs, access activity, and follow-up actions, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site stakeholders.
