As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols of platforms, concourses, and surrounding areas, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, assist with access control as needed, and provide customer service and clear communication to commuters and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, concourses, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Monitor access points, restricted areas, and public spaces; verify credentials and/or permissions as required by post orders and report unauthorized access concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and/or public agency partners as directed.
  • Complete timely reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and observations; preserve scene information and/or evidence when requested and permitted by policy.
