About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Navigator in Falls Church, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with calm, professional service. You will respond to concerns, assist with access control and visitor directions, and communicate clearly with your team while documenting observations and incidents. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach to every shift.

Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical-related calls for support, and/or access control concerns.
  • Monitor access points and interior areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with directing visitors and managing after-hours entry in accordance with site procedures.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, hazards, and maintenance concerns using required reporting methods, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
