As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors with strong customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and campus protocols, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, disputes, medical calls, and other security-related issues until help arrives.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious or unusual behavior, policy violations, and security-related concerns through required notification and documentation channels.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate clearly with site contacts and public responders, and support security-related drills or special campus events as assigned.
