Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Monitor in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, check credentials when required, and assist with visitor entry procedures in alignment with site policies and school-related schedules or events.
  • Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with occupants and visitors, providing directions, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or property issues that may impact daily operations.
