As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, documenting events, and/or requesting additional resources as needed.
  • Monitor access points and help manage visitor flow by observing entry and exit activity, providing directions, and/or reporting unauthorized access attempts.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate significant updates to location leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
