About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Gate Checker in SUN VALLEY, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts while using a computer or tablet for reports. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Possess a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the distribution location, including docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and building perimeters; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor ingress and egress of trucks and delivery vehicles, observe for unusual conditions, and help to deter unauthorized access, loitering, and/or property damage by maintaining a visible presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with traffic flow, reporting hazards, and coordinating notifications per post orders.
• Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate security-related observations to site leadership, and support investigations by preserving information and/or video references as directed.
