About The Position

As a Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, completing routine rounds and staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, use site technology to communicate updates, and assist employees and visitors with professional customer service. Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.
  • Have a guard card and/or license, preferred.
  • Have CPR certification, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site management and/or public responders as required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access, identify unusual conditions, and report maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Control access through gates and/or designated entry points by verifying identification, logging visitors and vehicles, and directing authorized traffic according to site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts, and support investigations by documenting security-related incidents and preserving relevant information.
