About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Naperville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests and staff with courteous service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, hotel and resort policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout guest areas, back-of-house spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, helping to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and disruptive behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, noise complaints, and lost and found situations, and coordinate with local responders as needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and maintenance concerns in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
