As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service, clear communication, and detailed reporting while responding to situations as needed. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as required, issuing visitor passes per site policy, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance as needed and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, communicate relevant information during shift transitions, and support security-related investigations as directed by site leadership.
