As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols as a driving post, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document activity, assist with access control needs, and collaborate with site teams. Requirements
- A New York State security guard license is required.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial real estate environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and tenant activity; report unauthorized entry attempts and/or suspicious behavior according to site procedures.
- Complete patrol and incident documentation, communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and assist with maintaining accurate logs as required.
