Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Bartow, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide clear customer service and communication to onsite teams and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter routes to help identify unauthorized activity, unsecured doors or gates, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and other security-related systems as assigned, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating situations, coordinating with on-site personnel, and contacting emergency services when directed.
  • Complete detailed written reports and logs, document incident details and patrol activity, and help maintain compliance with site rules including required personal protective equipment and access procedures.
