Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Port Arthur, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine driving patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, document activity, and communicate clearly while providing strong customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including activating notifications, documenting details, and assisting with scene control as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards, unusual conditions, or policy violations.
  • Control access points by checking identification, verifying authorization, monitoring visitor sign-in and/or badging processes, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol observations, incident reports, and shift activity, and communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
