About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Chattanooga, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post, so you may use a vehicle to cover assigned areas and respond to calls for assistance. You will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Hospital morgue experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required by the client.
  • Hospital experience restraining individuals is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation support and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, clinics, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or disruptive activity.
  • Control access as assigned by checking identification, issuing visitor directions, and monitoring entry points and restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete security-related reports and activity logs, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and support compliance with site rules during routine operations and special events.
