As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with tenants and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas including lobbies, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access control points and visitor entry processes, checking identification and/or authorization when required, and documenting access activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting management and/or local authorities as directed, and completing required notifications.
  • Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation; report maintenance issues, hazards, and irregular conditions to appropriate contacts in a timely manner.
