About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. You will remain visible throughout your shift, assist visitors and staff, and maintain open communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required. Requirements

A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual conditions.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or site representatives.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with company and client protocols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required for the location.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while upholding Allied Universal standards at all times.
