As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Badge Verification in Alexandria, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. This is a part-time role where flexibility meets opportunity, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed driving patrol officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support tenants and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, property concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe activity across the property, and help to deter unauthorized entry, disturbances, and/or other security-related issues through visible presence and routine interaction.
  • Support day-to-day property operations by reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations, and by following post orders and Allied Universal standards.
