Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an education location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you may patrol across campus areas by vehicle while documenting activity and partnering with your team with agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, campus policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter, noting and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access issues, disturbances, and medical situations until additional help arrives.
  • Monitor and document access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with visitor direction and general wayfinding at the location.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate timely information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
