You will monitor and patrol designated areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and by participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or irregularities encountered during patrols or while on post.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related occurrences as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with property management and/or law enforcement when necessary to address incidents or emergencies at the location.
  • Support a welcoming and secure environment for tenants, staff, and visitors by providing information and assistance as needed.
